专利摘要:
Stranded steel wire rope with high chromatic contrast (3) deriving from the use of strands composed of a detail of treated threads based on zinc (11) and strands composed of shiny wires (12), such as to generate a perceptible bichromy able to give greater visibility of the rope itself, in order to consistently reduce the collision phenomena by the bird with the aerial ropes.

专利说明:

[0001] The present invention relates to an innovative type of steel cable according to claim 1, realized by crossing shiny strands and treated strands based on zinc, so as to create a two-color effect which can make it more visible. by birdlife, reducing the risk of impact with the rope itself.
[0002] Attention to the growing problem of the death of birds due to collision with aerial ropes is a particularly lively and topical subject of interest, to the point that there have been, at European level, specific requests by entities active in the sector environmental for the construction of installations having ropes equipped with a better level of visibility.
[0003] It is evident that similar environmental considerations cannot but have a perceptible relapse of technical interest; in order to find an efficient response to the needs described above, there have been, in the past, some attempts to set up mechanisms to be physically applied to overhead cables (primarily aimed at electric cables) in order to keep the birds away, avoiding the impact (see, for example, US patent applications 2009/0 016 689 A1 and WO 2005/062 437 A1).
[0004] A more recent response to the problem is found in France where, in order to increase its visibility, it was decided to affix an additional rope, with an exclusive deterrent purpose, painted with white stripes and above an aerial cable. red.
[0005] Such a solution has not been accepted in Italy for different reasons.
[0006] First of all, there is still no empirical confirmation of the full functioning of the aforementioned mechanism, which is inevitably burdensome since it provides, for all intents and purposes, the preparation and installation of a double order of ropes; moreover, the plants present in the area have specifications that are partly different from those in France, in order to make the application more problematic. Finally, the choice of the use of paints is also perplexing, given that, at the present state of the art, the available paints tend to wear out rather quickly if stressed by atmospheric phenomena, rubbing and UV rays.
[0007] Steel ropes, used, among other things, for the construction of aerial systems such as structures for the movement of cable cars and ski lifts in general, are composite mechanical components, aimed precisely at the transmission of movement in the axial direction. They are composed of a certain number of strands (stranded ropes) or wires (spiral ropes), each time arranged in different configurations depending on the specific case.
[0008] In particular, stranded ropes are characterized by the presence of a layer of strands wrapped over a core (possibly plasticized) which, in turn, can be composed of a textile core, a strand, or from a steel rope (made separately or simultaneously with the finished rope).
[0009] As far as their surface protection is concerned, according to the state of the art, two different types of ropes are known:the shiny ropes, in the production of which the steel undergoes a phosphating process, due to which the strands with which the strands are made take on a tendency to be dark gray in color;zinc-treated ropes, significantly lighter than previous ones.
[0010] Considering that the production process of both types of rope is largely similar, and that the technical specifications as well as the expected duration in time (at least fifteen years, but also beyond) are similar for each of the types of rope, this which is proposed with the present invention is to exploit the described color difference resulting from the use of the two surface finishing processes (one of which is phosphating and the other based on zinc in order to generate a rope with a high visual contrast).
[0011] The object of the present invention, therefore, is to devise a rope which, by leveraging the duotone deriving from the use of shiny strands (accentuating, if necessary, the phosphating process to obtain an even darker coloring) and strands treated with zinc, it achieves the prefixed purpose of generating a greater visual impact for the bird life, such as to greatly reduce the risk of possible collisions with aerial ropes.
[0012] The aforementioned advantages of the present invention will become even clearer in the course of the detailed description of the invention which will make specific reference to the attached table 1/1, in which the structure of a rope is represented first and subsequently an example of embodiment of the invention in question.
[0013] In particular:fig. 1 <SEP> represents the composition structure of a stranded steel rope;fig. 2 <SEP> represents an example of a rope with a high chromatic contrast, as described in the present invention.
[0014] As shown in fig. 1, the stranded steel cables 3 are composed of a plurality of strands 2, in turn composed of a certain number of wires 1, arranged according to different configurations according to the individual case.
[0015] The present invention (fig. 2), using the methods known in the state of the art of treatments based on zinc and phosphating, is able to generate a steel rope composed of the alternation of at least one strand of coloring plus clear 21 with a strand of darker coloring 22, thus obtaining a much higher chromatic contrast than common steel ropes, capable of making the rope itself significantly more visible. A preferential solution, such as that shown in the aforementioned fig. 2, provides that the strands with different coloring are alternated according to the «chiaroscuro -....» series, but of course any chromatic alternation (for example, «light-chiaroscuro-dark -...» or «light-dark -crystal -... ") which achieves the intended aim falls within the scope of protection of the present invention.
[0016] As anticipated, the technical specifications of the strands 21 composed of treated threads based on zinc 11 and those of the strands 22 composed of phosphated yarns 12 do not prevent their simultaneous use in the composition of the rope, given that the characteristics of resistance and of duration they are almost assimilable; in addition, the fact that the production process of both types diverges only in the final phase (in the one case of zinc-based treatments, in the other of phosphating), while for the remaining part it turns out to be quite similar, does yes that also in terms of cost-effectiveness the proposed solution can actually be said to be appreciable.
[0017] The solution (fig. 2) proposed with the present invention is therefore able to give an effective response to the need to make the aerial ropes more visible, in such a way as to significantly contain the case of death of birds due to impact with the ropes themselves, likewise avoiding the use of colors using paints, inevitably exposed to rapid wear and tear.
[0018] Moreover, the economic and practical advantages of the present invention with respect to the solutions available in the state of the art are also evident, since the arrangement of a two-color cable allows to achieve the required deterrent purpose for the bird life without the need for installation. of appropriate mechanisms in charge of this or a further order of rope.
